Service

Jesus said one of the distinguishing marks of a mature Christian would be a servant-like attitude toward others (Matt 25; Luke 10). What this means is that we stop caring so much about improving our own lives, but rather open our eyes wide to the needs of those around us. This mission is accomplished at Oak Creek through a variety of programs including: a food pantry for the needy, special projects to assist area families and participation in the Michiana-wide Summer of Service. The Service Ministry also helps place Oak Creekers in ministries where they can use their talents to bring God glory.

Meals 4 Moms
Meals for Moms (M4M) provides meals for families in the church who have recently given birth. The purpose of M4M is to show compassion to the growing family by taking away some of the stress associated with those first nights at home. Typically, meals are delivered to the new parents' front door for 7 nights. This ministry has and continues to touch the lives of a great number of those in our congregation.

Summer of Service
Every summer, Oak Creek teams up with several area churches to show the community God's love in practical ways through acts of kindness. More than just "random acts of kindness," Summer of Service demonstrates to the community that churches can look past their sometimes subtle differences to communicate God's love. Events include youth retreats, car washes and fixing up area homes. For more information, visit Summer of Service.
