Childhood Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response: Parenting Seminar

This practical, hope-filled training equips caregivers with age-appropriate tools to:
Protect children and teens from sexual abuse
Guard against exposure to pornography
Respond wisely and confidently if abuse is suspected or disclosed
This seminar is relevant for all parents and caregivers—from toddlers to teens. Topics Include:
How to talk with young children and teens about protecting their bodies
How to have healthy, age-appropriate conversations about pornography
How to advocate for strong Safe Child Policies in your church, ministry, or sports teams
What to do if you suspect abuse has occurred in the life of a child or teen you know

Jon and Robyn Joyner Jon worked in social work/foster care in Michiana for ten years. He has a heart for teens and has extensive experience working in trauma informed settings. Robyn is abuse Survivor/Advocate who has a degree and background in Early Childhood Development. Her heart is to equip parents with tools to communicate with their children and open vital lines of communication. Both Jon and Robyn have attended "Caring Well Conference: Becoming a Church that Cares Well for the Abused" and have facilitated multiple Caring Well trainings and seminars. Jon and Robyn have developed this Parenting Seminar from their their Caring Well training and decades of experience in the fields of social work and child development.
